The McDSP v6 release will be available in March 2015. Order any McDSP product now and receive a free upgrade to v6 when it is released.

McDSP plug-ins can be found on popular audio workstations and live sound systems all over the world. Supported platforms include Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, Ableton Live, Reason, VENUE, S3L, and now Cubase, Nuendo and other VST compatible hosts.

New for 2015 – McDSP’s Version 6 release (v6) includes support for VST and VST3 plug-in formats.

In addition to VST plug-in format support, v6 includes a complete upgrade to the entire McDSP product line.  New user interface features, faster loading times, and algorithm optimizations across all formats are just some of the improvements in the v6 release.  Pro Tools users will appreciate v6 additions such as enhanced support for the Avid S6 and S3 control surfaces.  Artist presets from the likes of Dave Pensado, Kevin Churko, Joe Barresi, and many others are also included.

The McDSP v6 release will be a free upgrade to v5 purchases (upgrades, plug-ins, bundles) made after January 2, 2015.

Ch. G Compact

The McDSP v6 release is not just about (finally) supporting the VST plug-in format. All AU and VST versions of McDSP v6 plug-ins now use the same algorithms previously only found on the Pro Tools AAX DSP and AAX Native versions. The new AU and VST v6 versions, like their AAX counterparts, have a 64-bit audio path for maximum fidelity, realtime control smoothing just like analog gear, and the ability to operate above 0 dB to handle the hottest of mixes without clipping.

Ch. G Compact

McDSP has some of the most efficient plug-ins in pro audio. The v6 release takes it to a whole new level with faster loading times during session recall and algorithm optimizations across all supported platforms – AAX (DSP and Native), AU, and VST. Whether your running a massive HDX system or using your laptop, you’ll spend less time waiting for sessions to load and get more out of your system when using McDSP v6 plug-ins.

MC303_graycrop

The new Avid S3 and S6 control surfaces offer unique and exciting workflow advances for Pro Tools users. The McDSP v6 release carefully maps out every single control in our plug-ins intuitively for each control surface, creating a better workflow. Additional control surface features like plot displays on the S6 control surface are also included.

The McDSP v6 release also overhauls previous sample rate limits on certain plug-ins. While nearly all McDSP plug-ins can operate at up to a sample rate of 192 kHz, a few were limited to only up to 96 kHz. These plug-ins – DE555, Retro Limiter, ML4000, can now process audio up to 192 kHz. If you want to de-ess, master, and/or dynamically process your project at the highest possible sample rates, now you can with McDSP v6 plug-ins.

AE400_crop_2

Larger grab areas for faders. Bigger dots on plots. More parameter control via said dots on plots. Plug-ins such as FilterBank F202 and the NF575 Noise Filter can now simultaneously adjust frequency, Q, and range all from the plot display. These improvements and others are available across all plug-ins for all supported formats.
