Laboga Mr Hector Suite
Completely rebuilt Mr Hector, a plugin that recreates the legendary high-gain guitar tone.
Description
Laboga Mr. Hector Suite is a versatile amp sim built on the DriveNET engine, faithfully modeling the high-gain Mr. Hector head and the flexible EL84-based Beast amp. It features a full stomp section (OD, fuzz, EQ, boosters), advanced SpeakerX cabinet modeling with multiple cabs, mics, and mic placement controls, plus a studio-style FX rack with EQ, compressors, delay, reverb, chorus, and tremolo. Useful extras like a tuner, transpose, MIDI control, and headphone “studio mode” make it practical for both studio and live use. The suite combines realistic amp tone, detailed cab realism, and built-in mixing tools in a single streamlined plugin.

Features
- DriveNET Neural Network Modeling: Mr. Hector has been fully rebuilt using Aurora DSP’s advanced DriveNET engine—capturing the amp’s gain structure, tone stack, speaker behavior, and even nuanced interactions between channel volumes and power-amp dynamics.
- Dual Amplifier Emulations: Mr. Hector: A 100W ultra-high-gain amp with tight lows, aggressive tone, dual channels with shared EQ, "Bright" and "Mid" tonal switches, and selectable Tube or Diode rectifier for saggy compression or tight response control. The Beast: A three-channel 30W EL84-based amp with Clean/Crunch sharing controls but offering distinct tonal characters, plus a Drive channel featuring Bass/Treble controls, a Mid switch, and a “Character” knob that shapes tone via a simplified t
- Stomp Section: Four built-in pedals (Custom Overdrive—not a simple TS808 clone; OctaFuzz; Crunch Booster; 6-band Input EQ), fully rearrangeable in the signal chain.
- Cabinet Section: Includes 6 modeled cabinets and speaker types (V30, Creamback, MT77, Veteran 30, Deamon, CV75), with 4 mic options per cabinet. Mic position, distance, and angle are all adjustable.
- SpeakerX Engine: Models non-linear speaker behavior using real-time DSP powered by Klippel-based physical modeling. Includes diffraction and coloration to add realism and spatial depth—resulting in a rich, “mic’ed-cab” type of tone rather than a sterile digital output.
