BLEASS Spectral Resonator conjures an iridescent palette of resonating harmonics that add colour, texture and contrast to any audio. Whatever the input — vocals, drums, synths, guitars, field recordings or noisy textures — the results are rich, expressive, and deeply enchanting.

More than just a vocoder, BLEASS Spectral Resonator extends far beyond that classic effect into the realms of harmonic delays, tuned reverberations and playable harmonic instruments. It converts your signal into the spectral domain, where it applies a wide range of creative processing. The spectrum can be shifted, blurred, stretched, densified and destructured, with decaying tails and precise harmonic filtering. When blended with the source, it adds a controllable layer of pitch and timbre. At full wet, it can completely take over, delivering rich, complex and animated textures that feel alive.

Playable Harmonic Engine At its heart is a powerful resonator engine capable of generating up to 256 harmonics per voice. An internal 4-voice generator or full MIDI control (with up to 8-voice polyphony, glide, pitch-bend and latch) lets you play the plugin exactly like a synth. Each voice then produces its own shimmering bank of harmonics, giving you instant access to everything from subtle harmonic enhancement to wildly expressive, animated soundscapes.

Deep Harmonic Control The Harmonics section puts deep timbral control at your fingertips. Choose the number of harmonics, filter them to All, Even or Odd for radically different characters, fine-tune each voice by ±1 semitone, and stack up to 7 sub-voices with Detune for thick, ensemble-style richness. The unique Stretch parameter scales the spacing of the harmonic series — compress it for dense, vocal-like formants or expand it for open, metallic, overtone-rich tones. Shift moves the entire spectrum for classic formant-style effects, while Density controls how much of the incoming spectral material excites the resonators, creating constantly dancing, scintillating patterns. Blur softens the source data into lush, diffuse, reverb-like resonances, and frequency-dependent Decay (with independent HF and LF damping) shapes the tails with natural musicality.

Interactive Visualisation The stunning interactive 3D Rainbow Spectrogram is more than eye candy — it visualises resonator activity over time in breathtaking detail and doubles as a real-time controller for the Spectral Filter. Drag horizontally to set Filter Frequency and vertically to adjust Filter Bandwidth (in semitones), giving you surgical yet intuitive control over which frequencies feed the resonators.
