PSP oldTimerMB is a vintage-style multi-band compressor designed for demanding track processing, buss and mix compression, and mastering. (VST, VST3, AudioUnit, AAX and RTAS plug-in). Our aim in developing this plug-in was to design a high end multi-band processor based on the algorithm from our best-selling PSP oldTimer compressor.

The result is a musical and warm sounding processor with a range of controls making it a vital tool for virtually any kind of music. The switchable and adjustable output valve emulation stage gives you a choice of additional colors to the sound.

The new PSP oldTimer MultiBand is quickly becoming my "go to" for electric guitars in particular. It's easy to thicken and squish them without pumping, tame any ice picks, and to smooth out rough edges. It's also inspiring to use, it's hard to make things sound bad. I’ve been using the PSP oldTimer compressor for a number of years, it’s really become an essential part of my live drum recording sound, working  equally well on room microphones and tom tom mics. It really adds quality impact to almost anything. I was therefore intrigued to start using the newest incarnation,  the multi band version. It’s even  better than I had imagined! Especially if you have a troublesome frequency in your signal that makes a regular compressor behave in ways that you didn’t expect. PSP have combined all the vibe of the original but now with forensic controls.
