Adaptive Vibrato is our take on one of the earliest guitar effects ever created and is a versatile unit with deep controls, suitable for guitars, synths, or bass.

Description

The gentle shimmer of a good vibrato is comparable to that of a great reverb but without the space. Latch and trigger modes, rate and depth knobs, five waves of modulation, delay and rise controls. Finally, dial in just the right amount of the effect with the Dry/Wet mix knob. Add Vibrato to your modulation effects rack, combine it with the Shred Guitar Amps & Cabs to play emotional solos and add movement to your synthesizers and sounds.

History

The vibrato is one of the earliest guitar effects. In music terms what it does is essentially simulate a tremolo – the rapid articulation of notes, through amplitude variation of the input signal. The first guitar amps with built-in amplitude modulation modules appeared as early as the late 1940s but it wasn't before 1956 that the term vibrato stuck like glue to this effect after the introduction of Fender’s legendary Vibrolux amp.

To create our take on what a great vibrato should sound like, we started by examining quite a few tried-and-true circuits and then incorporated our impressions into a unique virtual unit that gives you a whole toybox worth of vibrato to play with. We did our best to make sure Adaptive Vibrato is suitable not only for guitars but for synthesizers as well.
