The Antelope Audio Tape Delay packs the true sound of vintage hardware with its beautiful imperfections, analog color, and flexible modern-day controls. This delay tool will add the much-desired space and depth to instruments, voices, and any source signal.

Whether you are using Tape Delay during writing or production sessions, you can lock the delay to the BPM of your project or control the delay manually – in milliseconds or by using the Tap button. If you are after an even wider delay effect, experiment with the Ping-Pong mode. Tape Delay features four switchable tape types allowing you to pick the most suitable vintage color for the instrument or track you’re applying the plugin.

History

Tape delays are the bread and butter of vintage audio effects, in their hardware iteration they are expensive to find and tough to keep operational but their signature organic and nuanced sound is surely a way for your production and sound to stand out. Building upon our love for tape machines, also expressed in our Reel-to-Reel plugin, we decided to design a delay that combines the best of both worlds – the pure analog vibe of old-school machines with modern-day controls for a unit with practically limitless potential for experimentation.
